The man was craving pizza... rather odd when you consider we were camping and had planned all sorts of campfire centric things such as hot dogs, etc. From Cape Lookout, the closest pizza option was Doryland Pizza. As we used to frequent Pacific City, we knew it was there, but had never tried it. So on July 4th, of all days, we braved the crowds and headed into Pacific City. The place was hopping busy, but turnover was good. It's a low key, back to basics type place in terms of decor and seating. I imagine on most days it was clean, but on the busiest beach weekend of the year... well, it still didn't look too bad. We ordered at the counter and the service was okay... but our cashier seemed new, as she struggled with basic things such as understanding what you meant when you read a pizza name right off the menu board behind her head, counting change... and someone from the back kept a close eye on her and kept yelling at her! So I can't give them high marks for professionalism... The air was just full of amazingly yummy smells, and the pies going to other tables sure looked promising. We ordered the deluxe, and were really pleased when ours came out; it was covered with a lot of toppings, and it all looked fresh and perfectly cooked. The crust is very good; crisp on the bottom, substantial but not THICK, and has a great flavor with a slight chew to it. And indeed, the toppings were fresh and plentiful. But... the sauce was nowhere to be found. And this after I'd asked for "extra sauce." I'd seen the prep table, and they used a paintbrush to distribute a thick paste-like sauce from the center. But I'm not exaggerating when I say you could not taste it. You couldn't even see it, save for a slight pink cast to the crust beneath the toppings. A pizza is made by it's crust and it's sauce. Everything else is just things people can get at the grocery (cheese, vegetables, meats, etc.). So you gotta have both. And with no sauce to be found, it totally ruined what could have been a great pizza. My husband, usually all for pizza leftovers, wanted nothing to do with these. And when I did warm up mine, I dipped it in some marinara. Could there have been a mistake? Could my "I've never done this before" cashier have somehow written down something other than "extra sauce?" I'll never know. Because if we're in the area and up for pizza again, I'm headed over to the Pelican where I know their pizzas are orgasmic, from crust to cheese... including sauce!

Very high price. No discount for cancer kids visiting the very near respite home. Stay away. Sometimes just a little good will ($1.00 off. %.10 off) goes a long way and indifference gets notable feedback. Stay clear they SUCK!

Great beach pizza joint. Good pizza. Reasonable beer prices. We go here near every time to PC.

The food was good but the service sucked. I had ordered 1 large pizza to go and it took then 45 mins to get it to me. I say try another place.

This pizza is fantastic! We have yet to choose a variety we didn't like, but the Thai Chicken is amazing! The wait is generally long, so plan on sticking around and, if there is a rush, they are busy making pizza and not clean tables, but, again, the pizza makes it. Good beer selection, decent atmosphere and - again - great pizza!

Great pizza. Conveniently located next to our hotel. They have a good selection of beer on tap and we didn't have to pay for Ranch!

Only place in town for pizza so not much choice, but was pleasantly surprised. Kids got the standard pepperoni, and we got the chicken Thai pizza. Both exceeded our expectations for a beach town pizza joint

SO MUCH PIZZA. We got a family size and it was hugeeeee. Hawaiian was perfect, the chicken pesto one was super packed with chicken time for a nap now

In town with not much else to choose from. Waited for 20 minutes to order. Person taking order also had to draw all the drinks making the process longer than needed. Waited another 30 minutes for two small pizzas. The meat lovers pizza was the greasiest pizza I have ever had.

We always make it a point to stop at Doryland Pizza while in Pacific City. They have an excellent selection including vegan options for my sweetie. Delicious crust and toppings never disappoint. They also have a good selection of microbrews and cider.

Some of the best pizza we've ever had. Read some of the other reviews where they complained it was expensive, but the prices here are less expensive than our privately owned take-home & bake pizzas back home. Free refills on soda pitchers, can't go wrong there ($3.50). Normal time for pizzas baking. Maybe those complaining only go to "fast food" type pizza places, and didn't take into account the number of orders, time it takes to make each pizza, etc. We decided that we want to come here each time we're in Tillamook county. We ordered 2 large pizzas for our family of 5 that has 2 teenage boys, and still ended up taking leftovers about the amount of a half of a pizza & everybody was stuffed.

Went there on a Wednesday, and it was a little crowded. The cashier would take orders on the phone rather than take orders from people there, and once our order was taken (a large cheese pizza) they stated it would take an hour. Would not recommend going to The Doryland Pizza

Happened upon this gem of a pizza place by accident. Great atmosphere! Delicious pizza!! And the crew is absolutely friendly and fun. I would definitely get lost again to find this place all over! Highly recommend!

Perfect pizza! Light garlic on the crust... We had pepperoni pizza that was cooked to nice crispy brown perfection! Friendly staff, comfortable environment, lottery games. We will be back!

We have a family second home in PC and this is our habit on Friday nights. We love the pizza and salad bar!

Awful. AWFUL. A-W-F-U-L. I'm only giving this place 1 star because I couldn't find negative stars. If you enjoy an hour wait, sweaty employees making your food, and attitude I couldn't recommend a better place for you. If you know anything about running a restaurant or any kind of business, you understand the importance of appropriately scheduling enough staff. Also, I just left the bathroom after an employee just left.... No soap in the effing bathroom. Not sure I can say anything else. Enjoy your pizza, I won't.

It's a clean looking place. Free popcorn. Conveniently it was burnt popcorn, which I grew up on, so that doesn't bother me too much. The place is pretty pricey. They had a decent selection of beers on tap: Black Butte Porter, Dechutes Red Chair, Angry Orchard, Fat Tire, Shock Top Raspberry Wheat, Ruthless IPA, Anchor Steam, Alaskan Amber, Widmer Hefeweizen, Longboard, Budweiser, and Coors Light. The pizza had decent flavor - it wasn't bland. I certainly can't say we will be back for sure. My husband liked the pizza. We just kept it simple. Hawaiian and pepperoni. Service was good at the counter. - friendly. Trying to hear your number called was close to impossible, so I went up and told them and then it was better. They should probably sharpen their pizza cutting tools in the kitchen, as they missed most of our pizza. All In all it wasn't bad, but not AWESOME either.

Best pizza I've had in a long time! The buttery garlic crust is to die for! Would definitely come here again. I've been coming to Pacific city for many years and am now upset that I never tried this place before.

This place needs help. The food coming out looks good, but 1 hour + quoting time for a pizza AFTER I waited in line to order? No effing way. Waited in line for 20 minutes just to order a salad bar.

I actually don't even like pizza, but when we were staying nearby for a couple of weeks, I caved in. As it turns out, the pizza was good with lots of tasty toppings, the service was friendly and prompt, and the beer was absolutely delicious.

Service is ok although is self service but the pizza is gross. Pre-made crust. I ordered a chicken pesto pizza which was by far one of the worst pizza I have had. Soaked in oil, the taste was nothing like a pizza should taste. The crust was just wet from the oil and the pizza just tasted like that. Don't waste your calories or appetite here.

We stopped in on a Monday night and had a pizza and the salad bar. The salad bar had not been attended to. There was no lettuce and the silverware was filthy! We asked for plastic. The pizza was very good, but pricey. While we ate there were 5 tables around us that were dirty with pizza trays and paper plates that were never cleared the entire time we were there. Suggest you order a pizza to go!

Server acted like he didn't want to be there. When he brought our pizza to the table. Didn't bring plates or forks. The prices are okay. Could be better. Not as good as the pub across the street who is there main competitor.

This place is run by kids with no management. Pizza is very good only if they cook it right. $3.00 pitcher of soda is by far the cheapest I've ever seen! I will return due to the only pizza place in town

We went here during the usual dinner hour on the weekend and it was fairly busy. You walk up and order, then sit down for the food to be brought to you. The cashier was really nice and we ordered a medium 13'' bbq chicken pizza and a bowl of chowder. The pizza was amazing and flavorful for being so simple, and the chowder was nice and thick with just the right amount of ingredients. Prices weren't too bad, about average for the size and quality of comparable places.

Pretty basic stuff... pizza, wings, fries, and other kid friendly foods. Pizza was overcooked by some apathetic teenager, but wasn't the worst I ever had. Salad bar was a nice touch, and everything was fresh. All in all, it's the best pizza place in town ... oh wait, it's the only pizza place in town. If you like Olive Garden, you'll LOVE this place.

This place is solid. I can't comment on eating there since we've only had pizza to go but c'mon people. in a town this size you've got two choices for meals, cheap and crappy or expensive and perhaps still crappy. The pizza is really pretty good. We've always had quick and hot service and been pleased with the results.

Ok, I admit it. Walking across the not so busy street in this little resort town form the big old Pelican Pub and Brewery can be tough when you know there are lots of festive microbrews back at the big commercial brew pub, but if you want pizza after riding through the dunes for a week, this place is just down the road from Sand Lakes, and well, it is pizza, and all pizza is inherently good right? especially when you were camping? This homey place is very clean, and has friendly people working inside. I have been here twice on two separate trips and have enjoyed both experiences. They only have a couple different beers on tap, but hey, it's pizza right? the crust is remarkably good, and they use pretty good toppings. I have had much better pizza, but only in large cities like Chicago and Seattle. Good enough for a sleepy little tourist town.

Great pizza and a really nice place and great service. I go to Pacific City from Salem just to eat Doryland Pizza. I ride a motorcycle so I love to ride to the coast but there are a lot of places I could go on the coast. I usually choose Doryland Pizza. Their pizza has great crust and they really pile on the ingredients and cheese. The place is very clean and the service is great and the servers are friendly. I really recommend it.

Went in at 5pm on a Friday evening - the night before Dory Days, and the place was nearly deserted (only one other table occupied). Ordered a family-size pizza ($28.95) and salad bar plate (&7.95). Receipt says 5.09pm for order; we found a table and mom hit the salad bar. Salad bar was decent - spring-type mix was wilted and unappealing, but better than the bagged iceberg mix. Broccoli, peas, cucumbers, tomatoes (soggy), pickles, mini corn, cottage cheese, fruit - the usual but no eggs or protein beyond garbanzo beans. I'd eaten almost half a plate of salad before an order number was called - nope, not ours. Finished my salad & re-visited the salad bar to share some veggies, as pizza still hadn't arrived. Our number was called 30 minutes after ordering. Pizza (meat lover's special) was over-cooked, with Canadian bacon edges burnt. Crust was nice and crispy, but sauce was overly sweet and cheese was skimpy. If you're eating in and not salad bar, you get paper plates. The cheap kind, too, with no holders. A $30 pizza and you don't even get a real plate? Napkins were super thin and cheap, too - the deli/market across the street had better napkins! Honestly, Papa Murphy's (chain take & bake in Lincoln City) is better, and considerably cheaper ($12 vs $29) - go that route if an oven is available! Wait time was long, considering there was only table ahead of us (and they had a medium, we're already seated when arrived). One star for decent salad bar, one for being the only pizza in town, minus 3 for price, wait time & quality.

An hour for a pizza is over the top. If my son hadn't had his heart set, I could have cooked something 10 times faster at the campsite and didn't even have the campfire started. Pre prep, get more ovens, anything would be an improvement. This was for a call in order. Same as in house dining. Pleeeeazzze

Pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the pizza, wine (cheap and decent Merlot) and service! Got the veggie pizza yesterday and am already craving it again. Will definitely return--maybe even today. Conveniently located right next to our hotel.

Pizza was good! Nice counter staff, even on the tail end of Memorial Day. Will come here again.
